Gasoline leak from 3.5 million gallon storage tank.
August 21, 2003 - Minor Gasoline leak at Tank# 86 - Motiva, Sewaren.
The call came from Shell/Motiva workers who on routine activity, discovered an over flow of gasoline in the Tank Farm on Arbor Street. Woodbridge firefighters responded on a report of 350 gallons spilled at 6:30 p.m.. Upon arrival, they estimated only 200 Gallons. The fire department Notified Middlesex County Hazmat, who responded. A Foam line was established and deployed to prevent the product from igniting, or exploding. County Hazmat stood by and monitored while a cleanup contractor vacuumed the Gasoline.
